Unlike the old-fashioned emergency lights you're used to, LED emergency lighting units do not contain bulky, short-lived sealed lead-acid batteries. They use long-life LiFePO4 batteries and are much cheaper to replace than SLAs. These little lights will run for at least 90 minutes in the event of a power failure (although the actual run time is much longer.) GODSON emergency light batteries are UL listed for use in wet locations, so virtually any indoor or outdoor (with adequate protection from sun, rain, and snow) application will do.
